All-On-4® Implant Dentures

All-On-4® was created by a doctor in Portugal named Paulo Malo about 15 years ago with Nobel Biocare, which is an implant company. And the problem with the people that have the dentures is as they get older, the bone starts to go away and the denture starts to move and they can't eat like they used to eat. And many times, it hurts for them to try to wear their dentures. So this All-On-4® is a procedure that's done that stabilizes the denture, and the denture is actually screwed down into these implants, so it doesn't come in and out. It has to be removed by the dentist that put it in there, us or their other dentist. And it gives them stability, it gives them a cosmetic result that is stable and that they can depend on when they smile. The All-On-4® process, the actual surgery itself takes a couple hours. Then the denture is transitioned onto the implants and the patient leaves with the denture that screwed down into the implants that day. That usually takes about four hours. Now, later, they'll have to come back and once that's . . . three or four months later, we want to check the implants and make sure everything is healing properly, and then they'll have their final denture made that is probably going to be made out of zirconium or something a little bit harder than the original denture that they got. People that have All-On-4® are always much more . . . they're much happier with their denture because it's stable. It doesn't move, it doesn't come out, and they can be secure with it in there.
