Soft tissue grafting is typically replacing or removing some soft tissue. That's the gums and the mucosa and the gingiva in your mouth.
A person that would be a candidate for that would be a person who had gum recession, so that they typically look at their teeth and they have gum recession, and they don't like the way that looks. Or they might have a situation where they're getting very sensitive. So, people drink cold water, they drink iced tea, whatever and that hurts their teeth when they drink it, because the gums have receded so much.
Typically a person will either be experiencing some type of pain upon eating temperatures, hot and cold. Or it could be a cosmetic problem where when they smile they can see the gum recession, and it doesn't look good.
The healing time for soft tissue grafting is generally a three-day period of time.
